Musique Théâtre Danse
Le 12 Avril 2019 s’est tenue la 4ème édition du Concours chorégraphique « Sobanova Dance Awards » présidé par Mourad Merzouki (CCN de Créteil - Compagnie Kafig).
Ce concours est organisé depuis 4 ans par l’association Sobanova, créée et propulsée par Sophie Amri Baubet et Barbara Leibig Van Huffel, deux femmes passionnées qui mettent en place tout au long de l’année des événements autour de la danse pour accompagner les jeunes talents.
Le jury de cette 4e édition était composé de Christine Bastin (La Fabrique de la Danse), Jann Gallois (Cie Burn Out), Gaël Domenger (Malandin Ballet Biarritz), Pierre François Heuclin (Opéra National de Paris).
Johana Maledon témoigne de son expérience :
« À cette occasion, et sous les contraintes imposées par le règlement du concours (8 minutes maximum, lumières plein feux), j’ai souhaité remonter une pièce intitulée « À Bientôt », autour de la notion de départ, d’un être ou d’un endroit, qui nous est cher. Elle est interprétée par six danseuses aussi complémentaires qu’atypiques, et fut créée en 2018, lors de ma 3ème et dernière année au PSPBB en Danse Jazz.
Nous avons finalement remporté le Grand Prix, qui comprenait une aide financière pour le développement des futurs projets de la compagnie, des heures de studios au Centre de danse du Marais, diverses programmations à des scènes ouvertes, festivals, spectacles et résidence. D’autres prix restent cependant en cours de discussions.
Ce concours a été un sérieux tremplin dans l’émergence d’un projet que j’ai au plus profond de moi depuis environ deux ans. Nous nous sommes présentées pour l’expérience que cela pouvait représenter de confronter son travail aux regards de professionnels, et nous en ressortons avec des projets encore plus grands. Je suis actuellement en train de finaliser la création de ma compagnie, et j’aspire à de nombreuses opportunités de diffusion, résidences et programmations. »

Jazz dance teachers from the Regional Conservatory of Paris, in partnership with the
Rick Odums professional training institute (IFPRO), the University Paris 8 Vincennes Saint-Denis and in association with the Pont supérieur, Epsedanse and Off Jazz.
As students are fully involved in the life of the establishment, support is given throughout their training; the development of the sense of belonging and improving their quality of life are among the major priorities of PSPBB.
Signataire de la Charte Erasmus, le PSPBB a choisi de faire de la dimension internationale une priorité dans la formation et l'insertion professionnelle de ses étudiants musiciens, comédiens et danseurs.
