Could my primary or secondary school child take instrumental music lessons?

The PSPBB is a public higher arts education establishment for post-baccalaureate students. You can get in touch with the initial teaching structures: music school, municipal music conservatoire, departmental or regional conservatoire.

I don’t have my DEM, can I take the PSPBB entrance exam?

Yes, you can apply for an exemption when you apply for the entrance exam

Candidates enrolled in CPES during the year of the entrance exam, in the discipline of the exam they take, do not need to submit a request for exemption as this is one of the prerequisites for entry.

I wonder if the DNSPM and DE are equivalent to a professional degree?

The DNSPM and DE music are diplomas awarded by the Ministry of Culture and do not confer the degree of bachelor (licence). The DNSPM is also compulsorily attached to the university’s musicology degree. A procedure is underway to enable the DNSPM to confer the degree of bachelor (licence) from 2025.
