Carl Portal class of 2021

Rarely have I had the opportunity to meet a class as determined and united as this one. All of them are concerned about the difficulties of others and admire each other's unique qualities, which they have brilliantly transformed into singularity and then identity through the composition workshops offered during their training. Their insatiable curiosity, their unquenchable thirst for knowledge, and their boldness and tenacity in the face of difficulties should serve as an example for all future classes. Personally, they have nourished and inspired me throughout their journey. They listened to everyone, including their teachers, with a clear respect for their elders and their art. Their progress over these three years of study has been steady and upward. I feel very proud of them and I am certain that each of them will find their way in the French or international choreographic landscape. Their humility, passion, and kindness have been a real driving force for me, and I cannot thank them enough for the success of the performance of my piece “Le bal des fallacieux,” in which they sublimated my imagination and exceeded all my expectations. I will always be there to support them in their professional lives if they seek my advice.
