Wandering through a choreographic world of unfamiliar colors, two Ocelots with leaping instincts and syncopated bodies establish their lair before your eyes.
One rests languidly on a closed chest; the other approaches softly, holding the key.
And with a click, everything begins to move...
This choreographic show is an invitation to travel, sail, fly, and swim in the depths of jazz dance heritage.
Through references to standards, subtle nods, and borrowed elements, two young artists explore this legacy left to them, which they have taken on as a starting point for creativity in the present.
In the form of a loving tribute, a political cry, and a celebration of rhythms, an exploration of a contemporary, mixed jazz style emerges, just waiting to be shared.
