By making an appointment by telephone with the PSPBB/ESAD, applicants can be guided and advised on the training courses that meet their needs and correspond to their career path.

Before pre-application for the 2026-2027 session, candidates must check that they meet all entry requirements for the training program:

1 / Pre-application

On the PSPBB/ESAD website, on the dates announced for each session. For the 2026-2027 session, pre-application opens on 15 January 2026.

2 / Application file

The PSPBB/ESAD sends pre-registered applicants an application file.

The completed application file must be returned to PSPBB/ESAD on the dates announced for each session.

Checklist for preparing your application file: 

  • Individual information sheet
  • Photocopy of identity document
  • Photocopy of the National Higher Professional Diploma in Acting (Diplôme national supérieur professionnel de comédien) when applicable
  • Full curriculum vitae
  • Cover letter
  • Proof of professional experience as a teacher or actor (diplomas, certificates from employers, pay slips, contracts, etc.).
  • The €70 application fee retained by the school.
  • 1 recent colour passport photo

3 / Application

Once the application has been examined, the applicant is registered to take the entrance exam.

Applications are subject to the school’s capacity.

Applications are reviewed in order of receipt.

Any application received after the deadline, incomplete or without proof of the total number of hours required in the entry requirements will be rejected.


4 / Entrance exam notification

Applicants whose application has been validated receive their notification to take the entrance exam for continuing education or the one for full-time education or a reasoned rejection letter.

No waiting lists will be set up.

2025-2026 session

  • Start of programme: Monday, 25 August 2025
  • Start of theoretical training: 26 August 2025 to 15 November 2025
  • Practical placements to be completed between mid-November 2025 and mid-March 2026
  • Thesis defence: end of May 2026

2026-2027 session

  • Start of programme: Monday, 24 August 2026
  • Start of theoretical training: 24 August 2026 to 16 November 2026
  • Practical placements to be completed between mid-November 2026 and mid-March 2027
  • Thesis defence: end of May 2027
