Application - Calendar

By making an appointment by telephone with the PSPBB/ESAD, applicants can be guided and advised on the training courses that meet their needs and correspond to their career path.

Before pre-application for the 2026-2027 session, candidates must check that they meet all entry requirements for the training program:

1 / Pre-application

On the PSPBB/ESAD website, during the dates announced for each session. Pre-registration for the 2026-2027 session is now closed. Pre-registration for the 27/28 session will open on 18 January 2027.

2 / Application file

PSPBB/ESAD will send pre-registered applicants an application pack from 18 January 2027.

This application pack, once completed, must be returned to PSPBB/ESAD within the dates specified for each session, between 20 January and 20 February 2027.

Checklist for preparing your application file: 

• Individual information sheet
• Photocopy of identity document
• Photocopy of the National Higher Professional Diploma in Acting (Diplôme national supérieur professionnel de comédien) when applicable
• Full curriculum vitae
• Cover letter
• Proof of professional experience as a teacher or actor (diplomas, certificates from employers, pay slips, contracts, etc.).
• The €70 application fee retained by the school.
• 1 recent colour passport photo

3 / Application

Once the application has been assessed, the candidate will be registered to sit the entrance exam or competitive examination in April 2027.

Applications are subject to the school’s capacity.

Applications will be processed in the order in which they are received, between 20 January and 20 February 2027.

Any application received after the deadline, incomplete or without proof of the total number of hours required in the entry requirements will be rejected.

4 / Entrance exam notification

Candidates whose applications have been approved will receive their invitation to the entrance examination for continuing professional development or the entrance examination for initial training one month in advance, or a reasoned rejection of their application.

Results will be sent by email within one week. No waiting list will be drawn up.

2025-2026 session

• Start of programme: Monday, 25 August 2025
• Start of theoretical training: 26 August 2025 to 15 November 2025
• Practical placements to be completed between mid-November 2025 and mid-March 2026
• Thesis defence: 1 and 2 June 2026

2026-2027 session

Pre-registration and registration from mid-January to the end of February 2026; invitations to the entrance examination will be sent out on 8, 9 and 10 April 2026.

• Start of programme: Monday, 24 August 2026
• Start of theoretical training: 24 August 2026 to 16 November 2026
• Practical placements to be completed between mid-November 2026 and mid-March 2027
• Thesis defence: end of May 2027
