Music Teacher State Diploma
DIPLÔME D'ÉTAT DE PROFESSEUR DE MUSIQUE
Training for the State Diploma is open to students who have completed their first full year of DNSPM and Licence (60 ECTS) in the PSPBB, and who are entering their 2nd or 3rd year.
No external applications to the institution will be received.
Once the DNSPM is obtained, students can no longer apply for D.E. training.
15 places are available each year.
Training begins in semester 3 and ends in semester 7, a half semester later than initial training.
Teacher training supported by the PSPBB is a complete and optimal offer:
- rich in its training content with a widely affirmed educational component, but preserves the time necessary for artistic development and student technique;
- essential to the employability of these students in response to their legitimate concern in terms of career opportunities: specialized teaching structure or associative schools is an important part and for some disciplines even essential;
- meets the spirit of the reform initiated and conducted by the Ministry of Culture, allowing students to obtain three national diplomas in the same structure: DNSPM, a Licence in Music and Musicology, a D.E.;
- corresponds to the logic of bringing forms of training, leading to teaching and interpretation as do our European neighbors.
